Brazil is one of the BRICs, one of the emerging countries which strive for a better, more active insertion in the international system, both politically and economically. The Ambassador of Brazil to the Netherlands will describe current economic and social policies in Brazil, including Brazil’s response to the financial crisis, as well as prospects for the future. Brazil’s long standing relationship to the Netherlands will also be mentioned.
