RainGain – project introduction

The RainGain project aims at high resolution rainfall estimation and forecast in urban areas based on weather radars. The rainfall data will be used in fine-scale urban flood modelling and prediction with the final aim to improve flood resilience in urban areas. The RainGain project team comprises of 13 partners from 4 different countries and the activities are centred on 4 pilot sites: Leuven, London, Paris and Rotterdam. The presentation introduces the project objectives, gives an overview of the work packages and activities and of cooperation and knowledge exchange of between partners and with the outside world.
